As was agreed with the mods, Chikusa Kakimoto is putting in a request for a completion of this prayer.

In summary: Combined with Axel's ability to teleport and judicious application of acid, the giant ayakashi ends up hindered enough from injury so that it cannot escape or cause more damage. A few more attacks later, and it is suitably weakened enough for the (then) low level Chikusa to be used in finishing it off with a final Rend.
