Okay, question about this: if the thread has hit "forward momentum" to where the item will definitely be found, can it be considered complete and handed in? The OOC thread requirement has been filled and all participants have three comments in the log for reward purposes (thread is here for reference), and they've split up to search, but the thread has been waiting a while so I'm curious to know how far it would have to be threaded in terms of events to be considered complete.
