A shinki who is sick would be able to spread the illness in whatever way it would normally spread, so, for instance, a shinki with the flu might infect other characters by coughing on them.

Their ability to function as a vessel would not be impaired. Disease symptoms would just be the normal, physical symptoms, affecting their human form and not their vessel form.
