Her rebirth is actually her reincarnation! Basically, she dies of illness in the hospital. During that time she talks to god and an angel (an angel version of herself....) ends up residing inside her to keep her healthy and mobile for a certain amount of time. It's not like her original human body exactly, since if she does lose her hat she becomes all spirit-y. But either way, she's in a body that still looks like herself and that can be seen. So she's in a state of not really being alive or dead during the entirety of her series.
She only has a fixed amount of time to remain like that before the angel would be unable to remain within her. However, prior to even getting to that point she finally decides upon her wish (god said he would grant her a wish if she worked toward it during that time). By having her wish granted, the angel would no longer reside inside her and she would truly die and disappear again.
After that happens is when she is reborn again via reincarnation. But either way, I think you answered my question! The god would see her death in the hospital, and when she disappeared and died as a result of the angel leaving.
And thanks for the additional information! I figured she wouldn't need a hat for it. I'm assuming she wont have a spirit-y halo/crown like she had when the hat was removed in canon too? Basically when her hat was removed she became like this.
I do have an additional question though in retrospect! She died as a result of being affected by the tear in reality into the human world. She basically spent her whole life ill and in the hospital. When she is reincarnated again and living once more she is still born with that same illness and is weak. It kind of clings to her soul and would naturally begin to lessen with each reincarnation. So the angel sticks with her even after her rebirth to try and give her a normal life.
Would she be somewhat weak or prone to illness in game because it seems to cling to her spirit and carry over with her? And she would naturally be without that angel. Or would that be something that disappears with her entry into the game? (Or player discretion?)
