That depends on if the ability allows them to know things based on what the other person knows or not. If their ability lets them know things the person they're speaking to knows, then that's all they would learn. But if it's a sort of cognitive ability that lets them know everything about a person's history, they would be able to learn things the shinki wouldn't know.
