Do I have to have read/watched Noragami to really enjoy this game?
No way! Our goal is to make this game fun for everyone who joins, no matter if you know Noragami or not. We'll try our best to explain everything that you'll need to know in order to enjoy this game to the fullest.
What if I want to app in a character that is dead in their canon?
That's totally acceptable! Seeing as shinki and gods are residents of the world of the dead anyway, it's perfectly normal for them to have been dead to begin with. Your character will have still died in their canon and will just find that they are suddenly 'alive' again and existing in a completely different way than they remember.
Does my character lose their powers?
Absolutely not. The Far Shore is more than happy to have your character keep their powers, aside from world-breaking ones that will simply have to be toned down to fit the setting. If you would prefer for your character to lose their powers, that is perfectly acceptable too. You will just have to detail that in your application.
My character has a pet. Can I bring them along?
Unfortunately, no. Your poor pet is being left behind back at home. You are more than welcome to adopt new pets in the game, though!
Are there item regains in this game?
There certainly are, and they are not limited to the items your character had on their person at the time of apping. Your followers/exp can be used in order to obtain regains.
Can I app someone in as a human, not as a god or shinki?
At this time we are not allowing any human characters or ayakashi/half-ayakashi like the ones that exist in Noragami. This might change in the future, depending on the turns the game takes, but as of right now, that is the ruling. You are more than welcome to comment on your character's interactions with humans, though!
Can I app any canon characters from Noragami?
Noragami characters get a special sort of treatment here at The Far Shore. They are perfectly appable characters and you are more than welcome to apply for them! But even when they do not have someone playing them, they will be seen as still existing and functioning behind the scenes. Essentially, the Noragami characters are appable NPCs, so if you want to app a Noragami character and someone has previously held that character, you will certainly have to get in touch with the mods to find out what has happened with that character during the course of the game.
How many OOC days pass in an IC day?
The Far Shore works on a 3:1 day ratio. What that means is that each IC day lasts three OOC days, so you have plenty of time to react to each day in the IC world. For a visual representation of how this works, see our calendar.
Are AU characters allowed? What about CRAUs?
Any canon AU character is allowed. For example, vampire Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer would be considered an appable character, but a zombie AU character that you found in a fanfic would not be. CRAUs are allowed, though! You simply need to add an account of what happened in their previous game to the history section of your application.
How many characters can I app in per round?
Only one! The setting is small enough that apping in more than one character at a time would make things awkward.
What does my character have with them when they show up here?
They will have whatever is directly on their person - so they would have their clothes and anything in their pockets/attached to their person, like cell phones or jewelry.

The World

There are so many weird words here! Could you explain what everything means to me?
Sure thing! Here are some links to help you understand what we're actually talking about:
Gods are "immortal" beings born from the wishes of humans and made to serve those wishes.
Shinki are the divine weapons of the gods. All shinki are humans that have died, their souls being given a name and purpose by the god that named them.
      • A Hafuri Vessel is a shinki that is willing to risk their name (essentially their life) to protect and further the cause of their god.
Ayakashi are negative energy, thoughts, and spirits that have grouped together to bring disaster down on the residents of the Near Shore.
      • The Near Shore is the land of the living, where humans and other living creatures dwell. • The Far Shore is the land of the non-living, specifically gods, shinki, and ayakashi.
Blight is a sort of disease that plagues someone of the Far Shore when they come in direct contact with an ayakashi. It is a sort of impurity.
Purification is a ritual that any impure shinki must undergo in order to confess their sins and free their god from the blight.
      • A Nora is a shinki who has been named by more than one god. They are typically shunned and seen as outcasts.
There is a network community. How does the network function here?
Simply put, the network is just the Internet! Gods and shinki are welcome to use Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, any social media you can think of. There is also a special BBS that is set up strictly for use by Far Shore residents, so you are welcome to note that any general network post you make is going up on the BBS. See below for more info about the BBS!
Can I talk with mortals on the Near Shore?
You can, but it is highly frowned upon. On top of that, you will have to work pretty hard to get their attention. Naturally, the residents of the Near Shore do not realize that people of the Far Shore are even around, looking over them like they are just part of the scenery. So if you're willing to blow your invisible cover, then go for it!
How can my character travel between the Near and Far Shores?
Travel between the world of the living and Takamagahara, the world of the gods, is done by the use of a shrine. All gods will have at least one shrine that exists in their honor. To go between the worlds, you simply need to be at the shrine and will yourself to travel to the other shore. It is best to use the shrine that belongs to you, but any shrine can be used with the consent of the god or a shinki that belongs to that shrine.
I'm pretty familiar with the Noragami canon. So a person who has committed suicide can't become a shinki, right?
Wrong! The shinki here are all just excess souls from the Heavens attempting to bring over souls to fill the god rolls, so any and all types of death are accepted and simply shoved into the role of being a shinki.
What about the Gods Greatest Secret? Can my god character talk to their shinki about their life together before The Far Shore?
The short answer is "no". The longer answer is that all gods will have an innate sense telling them that talking to their shinki about their time in the living or their death is something that will completely ruin everything. Likewise, shinki will have the innate sense that says thinking or asking about their past will only harm them. Your character cannot fight this inkling.
What exactly is blight?
Blight can occur in a few different ways. The easiest way for blight to happen is if a character comes into direct contact with an ayakashi - which is an impure soul. This blight would manifest as a dark purplish coloring of the skin, like a disgusting bruise, that aches and spreads and eventually corrupts a person if left unattended. Another way to be blighted is to come into contact with someone else who is already blighted, resulting in the same sort of symptoms. This kind of blighting can be washed away with holy water and is very easy to treat.

The other kind of blighting is when a shinki stings their god. Stinging occurs when a shinki does something that they feel some sort of guilt about, whether small or large. The larger the guilt, the more painful the sting. As the guilt grows, the stinging turns into outright blighting on the god and manifests as ayakashi-like tendencies on the shinki (ie eyeballs popping up on their body, sprouting wings, etc.). The only way to cure a sting is for the shinki to apologize for their misbehavior. However, if the blighting goes as far as manifesting ayakashi-like on the shinki, an ablution might be necessary in order to force the shinki to apologize properly. And even that does not always work.

Please read through the God 101 for a thorough description of How Gods Work.

My character is now a god. How does that work?
Congratulations, your character can now do no wrong, because a god is always just. That being said, your character will likely undergo a lot of scrutiny from the Heavens, so they might want to stay on the down-low for a while.

Your god character will wake up in a room of their home in Takamagahara - the Far Shore - and meet with a messenger of the Heavens who will explain that they are now a god. They will also explain how their new powers work and what is expected of them as the god of whatever it is they are the god of. So any questions your character might have right off the bat will be answered readily, except for the most pressing one: how they can get home. Because this is your new home, after all. They will also be passed a sealed note from Amaterasu herself with the simple message "Please do not talk to your shinki about their life or death. It will result in their soul being lost to despair and impurity." The shinki who passed you the message will leave before you read it, insisting that they must.
How do I choose what god my character is?
    It's pretty simple, actually!

First, you will pick out three (3) gods that you think fit your character. Wikipedia has a pretty solid list of both major and minor gods, but there is also a small list of open gods available on the gods page as well. You are free to choose whatever gods you would like to since the mods will be making the final decision. We may ask you to pick a couple more if you accidentally pick too many that are already represented in canon, though. Here is a list of the gods seen in the Noragami series as of right now.

Please note that all gods reincarnated by the Heavens will have the same starting number of followers and shinki, so that everyone is starting on even footing.

Second, the mods will choose which god your character will be the reincarnation of and let you know in your approval message. It's as simple as that!
Do I get to choose my shinki?
From an in character perspective, no, your god will not get to choose what shinki they have. The shinki are being assigned by the Heavens directly. However, if you have an out of character preference for a type of weapon or castmates/certain characters, you are more than welcome to detail that in your application or speak directly to the mods. We will accommodate you as much as we can.
My friend wants to app in as a shinki. Can that shinki belong to my god?
Of course! You and your friend simply both need to list in your application that you would like to be paired with each other.
What powers can I have as a god?
Aside from whatever powers your character already has, they will gain basic god powers. For example, gods can teleport from place to place at will, taking other members of the Far Shore along with them if they wish to (and sometimes even when they don't wish to). They will not gain the ability to name lost souls, but they will have the power to revoke their vessel names, in a situation where they feel a shinki should not be in their service anymore.

In addition to that, you will gain a power that is unique to you as a god. The god page lists some examples and any powers that are currently in use by other gods. No two gods are allowed to have the same unique power, but otherwise you are free to be as creative with this as you would like.
Does my god have to lose their memories?
Nope! If you would like for some memories to become hazy or strange for your god character, that is perfectly alright, but they are not required to lose their memory in any way.
Can I name my shinki?
The shinki given to the current incarnations of the gods will already have names from their own worlds, but you are more than welcome to work with your shinki to come up with their vessel name if you would like to.
How friendly do I have to be with my shinki?
You don't have to treat your shinki in any way that you don't feel comfortable with. However, keep in mind that all gods feel what their shinki feel and that a shinki that does something they consider morally wrong will sting their master and end up blighting them. Also, gods know more about their shinki than the shinki know about themselves.
So what exactly do I know about my shinki?
Specifically, every god sees the death that their shinki had to suffer through upon naming them. So you, as a god, will immediately see your shinki's death the moment that you meet them. All shinki are required to write out an explanation of their death and post it on their blog, so it will be easy to find the information that you need to know about your shinki.
Can I talk to my shinki about their past?
Absolutely not. Gods have an innate, gut-wrenching sense to not talk to their shinki about their past, even if they knew them in life. They instinctively know that something awful will happen if they bring up their shinki's life or death and their body will physically react to any thoughts or attempts to go against this instinct.

Please read through the Shinki 101 for a thorough description of How Shinki Work.

My character is now a shinki. How does that work?
Depending on your luck, congratulations are in order! Working for some gods is like living the high life. Unfortunately, working for others is like living with the scum of the earth. And there is rarely any room in between. Let's hope you're with the former rather than the latter.

As a newly-awakened shinki, you will have no idea where you are, why you are here, or how you even came to this point in your life. The only thing you will remember is your name and that you are no longer in the world of the living, because you have died. It will be up to whatever god you work for to explain to you what exactly is going on, so hopefully they'll be able to make it semi-coherent for you.

Shinki first arrive on the Far Shore just outside of the Meeting Hall in the Heavens, though depending on the intro log, they may be immediately moved to someplace else by the gods in charge.
Do I get to choose my god? How are shinki matched up with gods?
If you have a god in mind that you'd like to work with, you are more than welcome to request them in your application. Otherwise, shinki are randomly shuffled to a god by the mod team.
My friend wants to app in as a god. Can my shinki belong to that god?
Of course! You and your friend simply both need to list in your application that you would like to be paired with each other.
Is my character dead now?
Technically, yes, they are! But they don't remember anything about their death. All that they remember is that they are now dead.
What powers can I have as a shinki?
The main power that all shinki have is the ability to draw a boundary - or a line that protects them and whoever they choose from the ayakashi. The stronger the will of the shinki, the stronger the border will be. Shinki also have the ability to learn how to use others' names against them. By knowing the name of a person/shinki, they are able to bind them, put them to sleep, or other such things simply by invoking it. Of course, they have to be the superior one in the battle for it to work.

On top of the basic shinki powers, each shinki will also have a special power that fits their weapon choice or personality. You can see the shinki page for ideas and to see what other shinki have chosen for their power. Feel free to get creative or just stick to basic things like power buffing or automatic shielding!

Shinki specific abilities will only be able to be used when the shinki is in vessel form.
Does my shinki have to lose their memories?
Unfortunately, yes, they do. They will still remain the person they are, but they won't remember how they came to be that person. Memories can be regained slowly throughout the game, so don't worry too much about it.
As a shinki, do I have to change my character's name?
Your character's name will stay the same, but they will also have to be given a vessel name. This is something that you can come up with yourself or ask your god to come up with for you.
How do I come up with a vessel name for my shinki character?
Here is a list of basic Japanese words and here is a long list of kanji. All you need to do is pick one that you like and add a 'ki' to the end. For example the word butterfly is 'chou', so the vessel name would be 'Chouki'. Also, all shinki will have the kanji from their vessel name 'tattoo'd' somewhere on their body. It is up to you where that is.
Wait, my shinki has a tattoo??
It's not technically a tattoo, but it is a sort of 'brand' of their name emblazoned on their body. It is a symbol of the fact that they are named by a god and it helps other shinki to know each other by sight, if their name is visible.
How friendly do I have to be with my god?
As friendly as you want to be! However, keep in mind that shinki walk the fine line between human and ayakashi. If a shinki does something morally wrong, they will sting and blight their master. If they continue to sting their god, they will slowly become an ayakashi themselves unless they are purified and confess all of their sins, at which point their god might just cast them out.
What if my character has high/low moral standards?
The stinging of a god by their shinki depends entirely on what the shinki thinks is right and wrong. Shinki were created as a baseline for what is good and bad so that gods know how humans view different actions. If your shinki character would feel guilty about telling a small white lie, that will sting their master. However, if your shinki thinks killing a person who threatens others is completely in the right and for the betterment of all, their master will not be stung. It depends entirely on your character and how they view the world.
Can I become a Nora?
Sure, why the heck not! That is, if you can convince another god to give you a vessel name and you're okay with being seen as the scum of the earth by the other gods/shinkis. Have fun with that.

What exactly are "prayers"?
To put it simply, prayers are missions that gods can go on with the aid of their shinki. A prayer can range from help with a crush in school all the way to defeating giant ayakashi that are terrorizing hundreds of people. Answering prayers allows a gods favor with the people of the Near Shore to increase, earning them more worshippers, and allows a shinki to gain experience points of a sort that can go towards learning more spells or, in extreme cases, becoming a Hafuri Vessel.
How do I go about answering prayers?
Each month, new prayers will be added to the prayers post to be answered. Different prayers will have different requirements to be met in order to qualify for them and complete them. Some will require threading out, others can be considered automatically done if you desire. Signing up to answer prayers will also happen on the prayers post.

Prayer logs can be played out in one of three ways:
      1) A god and shinki pair/group (or multiple god/shinki pairs/groups) going back and forth or posting an open log to detail what happens as they perform the required task.
      2) A god with a soulless shinki threading with a mod playing the NPC shinki.
      3) A god with a soulless shinki writing out a 500 word report of how their mission went and emailing it to the mods.
How many prayers can I take on at once?
Each character can be taking on only two prayers at a time. Once you have completed one of those prayers, you may take on another one.
Why should a god want to gain more followers? And why does a shinki want more experience?
For a god, more followers means that they grow more powerful. They will become stronger than other gods with fewer followers and if they gather enough followers, they will be allowed to possess more shinki at any given time.

As for shinki, gaining more experience will also make them more powerful and make it easier for them to overpower ayakashi and other shinki if the need arises. Also, building up enough 'points' from answering prayers will allow you to put in to have a plotline where your shinki can become a Hafuri Vessel - essentially elevating them to the highest standings and allowing their weapon form to evolve and granting them an extra power to boot.

Additionally, followers and exp can be used in the process of obtaining regains.
How can I find out how many followers/how many points I have?
All that information will be kept on the gods and shinki pages for you to check whenever you would like!

    What exactly is the BBS?
It is a bulletin board system put into place by the Heavens. It is a fairly new feature, but it is well maintained by a handful of computer-savvy shinki and their gods. It features the ability to make top level posts on the network and respond to your own and others' posts.
What special features does the BBS have?
Posts can be text, audio, or video. Images are able to be embedded and font styles and colors can be altered to your liking. Additionally, anonymous responses are enabled on all BBS posts, so if you don't want to reveal who you are, you don't have to!
How do I access the BBS?
Any Far Shore resident on a computer or smartphone can access the BBS by going to the url bbs.hvn. Brand new, state of the art smartphones are issued to every god and shinki in the Far Shore, so that you may talk, text, and video all you want to.
    Can I hack the BBS?
Sure you can, if your character is talented enough to! It is a basic enough system with nearly-amateurs in charge of it and fairly lax security in place. Though that may not stay that way for long if you hack it too much!
Do I have a display name on the BBS?
Yep! The names displayed for gods are their god name, whereas the names displayed for shinki are their full human names. There are no usernames, just simply names to identify who is talking.
Can I post privately to another user on the BBS?
You sure can, it would just have to be marked as private. In character, this may cause problems, as your character would have to actively select that other person to private message them. Have fun!
Can my character's comments be deleted?
You bet! If your character looks back and realizes they need to get rid of the evidence, they can delete their post.

How does AC even work here?
AC happens on a monthly basis. You can check out the guidelines for more details about how AC will work every month.
Do I really have to participate in the bi-monthly HMDs?
You definitely do. Any refusal to participate will end with your character being swept from the game. Sorry, but that's the deal here.
Is the HMD anon-enabled? What if I get bullied?
It is anon-enabled, but we the moderators keep a close eye on the activity that goes on there, and IP logging is on for the HMD as well. We will not tolerate bullying of any kind and will actively seek out anyone who does bully any of our players.

I know that the shinki have no memories of their lives and that gods aren't permitted to discuss the past with shinkis. But how much do the gods know about their shinkis' lives? Is it just their manner of death, or do they get more than that?

Also, is it acceptable for gods to discuss the past with other gods? Either their own past or the past of one or more of the shinki?

Hello! I have several questions...

1. Can a god share his own life/past with his shinki, should he so choose? If so, how is this complicated by a situation in which the god and shinki are castmates? Is it fine as long as the god doesn’t reveal or hint that they knew each other? Would the god have that innate sense that it will ruin everything if he talks about things that directly involve the shinki, even if the shinki isn’t made aware of their personal involvement?

2. Do god characters require experiencing a material world death as shinki do? I’m unclear if they arrive via death or traditional jamjar methods. If the method is death, do they remember it?

3. How do battles with a god/shinki pair work? I’ve never seen the show and am extremely lost on this aspect, especially with the shinki that don’t become traditional weapons. What if the shinki’s vessel form is a notepad, or a hamster? Does the shinki always transform into the vessel for battles? Do they stay in that form until the battle is over? Do the powers work only in one form or the other? Does the god stand around and direct like a Pokemon trainer, wield the shinki vessel personally, or fight alongside but separately? Or a combination?

Thanks so much!

Hi! I just had a quick question about powers. I know my character can keep his canon powers (telekinesis), but is that in addition to the special shinki/vessel power he will get? Or do I need to make telekinesis his vessel power? Thanks!

Piggy backing off the previous question, I am similarly curious about item regains as well as if there were any plans for how a shinki might become a hafuri (assuming that would take a long time and a lot of work but knowing we're on the right track would be cool)

Hello! Just a few application questions;

Is it alright to use a written personality section for the same character that was used on another application? I wrote it myself, and it's a functional section.

Secondly, emailing the application, do you prefer a word document attachment or just pasted into the body of the email?

I have a few questions!

1. Can a shinki resist being changed into their weapon form, or do they feel compelled to obey when their name is called?

2. Ross went to the school library for research purposes, and he was pointed toward some books about herbs and tinctures. Would he be able to make a tincture that would replenish some mana? If he can, how hard would it be to find ingredients and how powerful could the tincture be?

3. In canon, Ross was able to create a Mana Maker-kun, which gave him a constant supply of mana. Unfortunately, it's never explained what the process is or what's required to make it, but he managed to finish one in a fairly short period of time. With that said, would Ross be able to make another Mana Maker-kun?

A question about appability! I'd like to app hollow!Zangetsu here as a shinki. As a zanpakutou from Bleach, he's basically already a weapon with a soul, and a very different personality from his wielder, Ichigo. I'd just like to check and make sure you'd allow him in the game before I take any further steps!

For the Shinki without weapon forms (notepad/etc) - how does wielding them work? Obviously for something like an animal form said animal can attack/defend, but how would a God use one with a more mundane vessel to combat Ayakashi? Is merely being in possession of them enough to allow them to defeat such, or do they have to actually make contact - eg, bludgeoning one to death with, say, a cup of noodles?

Addendum; will a god's 'natural' powers - if any, such as magic/natural weapons like claws or whatever/etc - allow them to defeat Ayakashi?

This might be similar to an already answered question, but...I know shinki powers only work in vessel form but does that apply to powers that a character has in canon, like magic and such?

For a specific example, my guy here has some limited control over 'darkness' in canon, enough for some attacks and self-buffing. His shinki power is basically the same, only with a greater variety of applications. Would he be able to use the canon-explicit powers or none of them at all in his human form?

I don't want to assume and screw up later.

1: Can all shinki 'rend' an ayakashi? Or is rend just a special ability that some shinki have?

2: Would characters from magical girl type canons like Sailor Moon, Nanoha, Devil Hunter Yohko, etc. still have access to their transformation and abilities?

3. I was looking over the app and I was wondering what exactly was meant by 'buzzwords.' Would it be possible to get an example or two?

4. I noticed several gods have their shinki listed as 'soulless.' Am I right in assuming that means they don't currently have a shinki for whatever reason?

5. Could a gung-ho shinki initiate their transformation on their own? Or is that something that the god in completely in charge of?

Again, sorry for all the questions and thanks for your patience.

Beg your pardon modpeople, but is it okay to have two accounts for a single character for icon purposes?

I'm poor af but can't limit myself to 15 icons to save my life.

A few quick questions
1) Scars and marks. As a god, I'm sure his scar would remain, but what about as a Shinki? Would important marks be kept without any knowledge of why they are there, or would they vanish?

2) I am assuming that as a Shinki, he would no longer remember the Hiten Mitsurugi style? Is this assumption correct?

3) He actually has a canon death in an OVA. I personally hate it. Would it be all right to take him from earlier and pretend that Trust and Betrayal never existed?

IIII have a weird question about this kid and her friends from her canon.

Kido has actually died before a lot! When she was super little, she was in a fire and burned to death but like that's fine I guess because she came back from the dead. In order for her to come back from the dead, though, she had to go through a process where she was possessed by a snake from a medusa. And that snake gave her a power. She's had it for over a decade, and she's able to turn invisible when she's sad or afraid.

However, because that power came from the Concealing Eyes Snake that possessed her, would it be something that could carry over into her being a Shinki?

On a similar but separate note, would a god know if their shinki had died before in alternate routes? Because her canon is a giant timefuck of "why" and she has died a lot, but every time she dies, time is reset. She's been stabbed, shot burned, and punched to death in canon loops that we've seen. She has no recollection of any of these doomed loops, but other characters do. So I don't know how to handle that moving forward but I figured it would be worth a shot at asking.

Question(s) regarding items characters can bring with them:

Since Shun is from the franchise of Card Games for Everything, he'd definitely have his duel disk on his person regardless of where he's taken from, and it functions as his phone as well so I figure it'd be useful to have purely for that. Since he's coming from one of Arc-V's non-Standard dimensions, though, his duel disk's holograms actually have mass and can be used as weapons or transport in their own right, which I'm pretty sure would be far too game-breaking as a brought-in weapon (since he can summon up to five at once, and that's not counting Spell/Trap effects). Would it be possible to strip that down/nerf it on entry (to the series' normal Solid Vision which...isn't actually solid, and is thus pretty much irrelevant outside duels) so it could be brought in, or would it not be an option to bring in at all?

As an aside on weird duel disk abilities, in Shun's first appearance his disk was shown to have a zooming + heat signature detecting lens incorporated into it (from the looks, it doesn't have any kind of see through walls aspect, it can just see through windows like a normal pair of binoculars or something). While at least the heat signature function probably won't be much use in hanging out with a bunch of gods, spirits, and generally dead people, I'd just like to confirm whether that would be too far above the level of basic tech and would have to be disabled as well.

Hi! This is a bit of a complicated question (and probably an obvious one but).

Basically me and somebody else are interested in apping two characters who are for all means and purposes the past life versions of two other characters already in game (Gojyo and Hakkai, specifically).

Now, given that the premise of the game itself is heavily based on the character's souls, well... we weren't sure if this was possible in the first place, or if there is a way it could be made to work without breaking any game mechanics.

A little more info: The characters are very different from their future selves! There's a slight physical resemblance and some traits here and there, but they obviously have very different backstories and developments. Additionally, neither version has any memories or knowledge of their other self.

We've already asked the Saiyuki cast if they would be okay with this and they are all comfortable with the idea, so now it's mostly just asking the Mod Team if this is at all doable or not.

Thanks for reading and sorry for the tl;dr!

Regarding answering prayers. Does the actual activity of a prayer need to be threaded out or could one say, play out the aftermath and still use that for the comment count required to complete them? Put another way do they need to log out the fight/studying/odd jobs or could they just talk about it over a cup of coffee after the fact.

Hello, super quick question: what is the policy on apping two characters in the same app round? They're from different canons so that's fine, but I wasn't sure two at once was allowed...!

Somehow this didn't occur to me until just now, but living things can't physically go to the Far Shore, right? I'm only familiar with the anime so I'm not sure if the manga suggests anything different, but I don't remember Hiyori ever setting foot on any Far Shore-ish locations without going out of body first.

So... if this is correct, would that mean trying to take a living animal from the Near Shore to the Far Shore would leave behind the physical body? Do a bunch of characters have ghost cats??

hello mods! I have a question for characters being apped in as shinki. since they lose their memories, will their personality be expected to change? the character I have in mind has some issues/reactions to particular situations arising from incidents in his childhood, will he thus lose those issues by memloss or will he still keep them somehow? if he's keeping them, how would that play out? will he have a gut feeling that he doesn't like this situation or will he remember something else in place of the childhood incident that will make him react in an IC manner ?

I'll be sending his app in this round so if I submit before you answer and the personality section has an error because of this please excuse me o)-----(
